Body Hair Transplant (BHT) allows hair follicles to be harvested from areas like the beard, chest, or back and implanted into the scalp. This technique is ideal for patients with severe baldness or insufficient scalp donor hair. Combined with FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction), BHT helps improve density and coverage in advanced cases of hair loss.

Ideal Donor Areas for BHT

The beard is the preferred donor zone, especially the area beneath the chin, providing strong, thick hair that blends well with scalp hair. Chest hair may also be used but typically has a different texture.

Beard Hair Transplantation

Beard transplantation uses hair from the beard or scalp to enhance facial hair density. This procedure is also effective for scar correction and as a complement to FUE procedures. The beard area, particularly beneath the chin, is the preferred donor site for its density and texture. Before the procedure, the donor area is carefully assessed to determine the best source of follicles, whether from the beard, scalp, or chest. Since scalp hair is finer than beard hair, more grafts may be needed to achieve the desired beard density.
